With the Hamiltonization Process about to officially begin with the first mixtape, Death of the Mixtape Rapper, dropping on OKP this Tuesday; DJ Skee dropped a Pete Rock banger on us! This joint is serious and I hope you haters can fall back for a few haha. Pete Rizzle did his thaang with that Exocist sample. iamnotcharleshamilton, iamshake. Speaking of legendary producers, the dopeboyz are on their way to check Premo spin at Blush. See ya’ll next post!
While Banks seems to have cooled down from dropping freestyles (and basically lost the buzz he had surrounding Top 5 or Better), Curtis drops another revised track. This time jumping on the autotune and joining T-Pain on his latest. I might not be the hugest fan of 50′s music but his business game is something else. Also, hit the jump for T-Pain’s latest interview with Whoo Kid on Shade45…
Lately I’ve been posting solo joints from Kyle Lucas‘ upcoming mixtape presented by 2DB, Kyle Lucas is Still My Favorite. Now I want to drop a joint from his group, Vonnegutt, which will serve as a bonus track off their upcoming extended-play, The Appetizer. What’s Vonnegutt sound like Shake? Umm, think Gym Class Heroes type shit. An emcee with talent and dope lyrics, pop sensibility and some rock energy. I fucks with them, you should too.
Earlier I posted a new Juelz Santana joint (now NoDJ), courtesy of Mr. X. Now here goes the entire tape it’s featured on. Big Mike & DJ Thoro are continuing to bang the industry over the head with some exclusive cuts. That’s what I like to see. Now just stop yelling as much haha. New joints from Juelz Santana; Kiss Sheek & Styles, Max B, etc.
The good folks over at LupeEND put up some pretty good footage of Lupe performing a few new joints while at Indiana University. Another joint after the jump…
Uncle Howie speaks on the craziness that is Ill Bill and company. If you’ve followed Pyscho+Logical you know Uncle Howie is one crazy muhfucka haha. I can’t wait for that Hour of Reprisal.
I normally don’t like to post joints with DJ drops, etc but it’s the quote on quote return of Juelz Santana!. Shouts to X for sending over this new joint off Big Mike & DJ Thoro’s upcoming Grand Theft Audio 8 mixtape. Speaking of my favorite member of Dipset or former member? (I don’t know, I don’t really keep up with them.) Now it’s time for some good eating. See ya’ll next post! UPDATE: Added the NoDJ version, courtesy of OS.
Waking up from a late night on the strip since Meka is in town I figure I’ll make a few posts before we hit a buffet. Tonight is when we really get lose so Vegas better be ready haha. Here goes a fan made video of Lupe’s Gotta Eat taken from his last album, The Cool. The video’s alright, not as good as most of the fan made video’s that have been poppin up but it will do. On a related note, LupeEND is reporting that Lupe said his last album will be dropping in December 2009.
Back from the wedding. Overall it was alright. I’m glad to see that my dude is happy and all that. I hope for the best with them. Now onto some music. I wanted to put this up a last week and actually had a post created but never hit submit haha. Then I saw the homie over at RH posted it today so it was a great reminder. Gold Dust put out a sampler, mixed by Large Pro, that features new music from Zion I, People Under the Stairs, Brooklyn Academy, the Outlawz and more. A nice little introduction on what to expect from the imprint in the coming months. Now it’s off to the strip with the other dope boy. Shake & Meka in Vegas? Ahh shit!
As I get ready for my man’s wedding (and Meka’s arrival in Vegas) I wanted to drop off a few Guilty Simpson joints that CDR threw up. Up first is a DJ Design joint that will be on his upcoming project, Jet Lag. Then we got a joint off Block Barley‘s Michigan Nights EP. Last but not least a dope Harmonic 313 Remix of Guilty’s For Tha D.
The first joint from Jake One’s highly anticipated album is finally here. I never thought there would be a day when a Rocafella x Rhymesayers collab would be possible. Leave it up to the Seattle producer to make it happen. Brother Ali & Freeway both do there thing over some great production. A webrip is floating around but if you have patience, I’ll hit you with a CDQ on Monday. Until then, click the above image and check out the stream on his MySpace. And get ready for one of the dopest albums of the year to drop on October 7th! UPDATE: Since OS jumped the gun and put up the CDQ I might as well myself. I also included the B-Side to the single featuring DOOM.
