Sneaker Freak (Video)

If you’re a part-time sneaker head [1] like myself, you can dig aesthetically entertaining videos like this George Amir-directed piece, which is an homage to the old adage “getting killed for your kicks.” What’s sad about this is that it continues to happen, albeit not as prevalently as it did during the Jordan heydays. Is this shit really worth it, people? We need a board and a jury.

[1] I say part-time because I find a good chunk of those in the sneaker game to be nothing but a shitload of message board elitists who are clearly overcompensating for the lack of whatever by purchasing an exorbitant amount of sneakers and looking down on those who aren’t stupid enough to drop an unemployment check on some kicks. But maybe that’s me.

    and I seen a few robberies. No killing as much nowadays. Seattle Niketown no longer does midnight releases for this reason. You now have to wait in line OVERNIGHt to get the fresh pair.
