the term freestyle has evolved. free verse and freestyle have became the same thing. everywhere in hip hop. you should know that. if it’s just a free verse you have, not on an album, mixtape, etc.

i dont think i agree, a free verse and a freestyle are NOT the same, otherwise there wouldnt be such a negative to using a “paper” verse in a freestyle battle. I have both raked and seen others rake emcees for trying to pull that shit. I have won battles based on my opponent using a obviously written verse.
