Big Boi – Something’s Gotta Give f. Mary J. Blige (Radio Rip)

I know how Shake’s not too keen on radio rips, but this will have to do for the time being. Real talk, is anybody else tired of having to reference Big Boi and 3 Stacks when “defending” the south? Maybe the South should step their proverbial history lesson up, because I’m sure there’s more artists down there that are as equally good or even better. Just a thought, people. Props to DJ Skee.

Just because whats being PRESENTED to you as mainstream southern music is that coonish, snap yo fingers, soulja boy, bullshit doesn’t mean that that is the heart of southern music. Cause it surely isn’t…

  8. [...] This joint right here…oooohhhhh! I love it. I love the lyrics. I love the melody. And I especially love the bass line. I feel like I’ve been waiting for this collaboration to for years, but this isn’t the first time Mary J. Blige and Big Boi got together. They joined forces with Carlos Santana on the song “My Man.” But that song doesn’t stick to ribs as much as this one does. This joint right here makes me wanna fire up a blunt and leave the cares of this world behind, and I don’t even smoke. (Check out the shout out to Obama.) [2DB] [...]
