1. In Lupe’s own words he dumbed it down. There were a few repetitive hooks etc.
2. The songs for the girls (Go Baby & Paris Tokyo). There were not up to par with the better parts of the album.
3. That Fucking Rock Song!!!! I HATE IT!!!
4. There was more singing on this album than i wouldve liked but thats no too bad.
5. Some of the subject matter was dumbed down but the lyrics were still good in that 1 (Hip Hop Saved My Life)
6. Superstar was a commercial song but it was takeable. it was like the equivalent of if i ruled the world on iw was written.

I’m actually one of the few that don’t think Stillmatic is a classic. It’s a great comeback album. I think his only classic albums are Illmatic, The Lost Tapes (a compliation so it may not count) and possibly Hip Hop is Dead. The latter part of Stillmatic (with the exception of What Goes Around) is kinda weak.
I agree that The Cool is near classic and in a couple years, will be considered another classic notch in the belt. I think the only questionable songs are Hello/Goodbye, Go Baby (I took it off of my iPod lol) and maybe Hi-Definition, but that one grew on me.
I do check out Stuntin on Prose. I post comments most of the time lol.

“I See You Comin’” was a collaboration FOR Tre Williams, not himself. “I’m On” is going to be on Khaled’s album (“We Global”). “Nigger Hatred” was for the beginning of the “Be A Nigger Too” video. Unless Nas is hiding this as a surprise, this is the final tracklist, as this is what is on iTunes (pre-order page) AND what he posted himself a few days before that on his site.

yo, i got nigger hatred as the first track inmy itunes, and that shit blends in PERFECT with queens get the money…im tellin u thats the intro to the album….personally i thin its a double straight up, and since NAS cant release the album titled “Nigger”, he leaked that to us, while releasing Untitled in stores….with this as the second disc….i called it!!!!
5-6 tracks probably isn’t enough for another album, since three of which can fit on there. BUT, it’s Nas after all, a living genius. I see another Lost Tapes coming, that makes more sense to me.

Still not sure what to think about a double disc. With the release two weeks away, you’d think they’d be promoting that on Amazon, iTunes and other sites as a “special edition” and add on to the price to earn a few more bucks. However, with the release still two weeks away, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them capitalize on this hype and create a “special edition” and have it as a preorder option. Even still, I’m sure a lot of those tracks will show up online after the album is released.
What a dumb fucking publicity stunt. I’m disappointed in 2DB for participating in this shit. Shit leaks 2 full weeks before the release and yall think the 20 people on this blog are gonna make a difference in album sales? Please….sure the buzz was alright for the last 36 hours…but it won’t be shit 2 weeks from now. If it had leaked normally a week before release it would be the exact same buzz. This is a joke. I think that NMC is all caught up in their own shit now, getting too cocky for their own good IMO. I don’t care if Nas’ people asked them to do this or not, this was just plain dumb.

Mike, I know a bunch of hip-hop heads might not know anything about it but look at what a band like Radiohead did with their last album. They left it up to their fans as to what amount of money they would pay them for the download. Seeing how they weren’t just in it for the money, their shit sold like hotcakes. We now know Nas isn’t all about the money. He wants his message to get out. For that reason, Nas will have no problem going platinum and beyond.

Let me preface this by saying I love Nas and all he’s done for hip hop, but I don’t like this album. I need more Ronson, stic.man and Jay Electronica production and less Cool and Dre, and mixtape djs. I feel like titles like Hip Hop is Dead (loved the album mostly) and Nigger are stunts to grab attention to make up for the fact that Nas can’t recreate Illmatic (the indictment should be saved for ‘Untitled’ mostly). I like Queens get the money (jay e is the truth), Hero (bangin), Fried Chicken (Ronson wins) and Black President (can you deny the message? all minorities echo this sentiment – but I loved on Nigger Tape when they actually used Baracks’s real voice on the ‘Change the World!’).

Now, This is JUST MY OPINION….no facts, but….
I THINK…nas and defjam are up to something. i think nas is releasing this to get the masses believing that this is actually the album, because its been presented to us by that.
Now, the UNDERLYING message, and im sure those who have heard whats been leaked so far get the message, that nas is telling us about how the U.S. Government lies to us, and presents us with false notions of action, in order to make us, as the masses, believe whatthey present, therefore, making us the “ignorant” people, which in turn means…..?
so, if nas presents this to us, the whole time we’re all thinking this is it, and drops something totally different…..that makes us fans the “ignorant” people….
now, thats how i would view this as a concept album….because if that IS the case, if what im sayin is true, it brings a whole new avenue into this game, and will teach these young kids a thing or two about creativity, reality, originality & genius….

hectik … albums usually leak when they get sent to press (the plant) … some random will grab a copy and send it out.
a group rip is basically a group of people who rip cds a certain way from the actual discs. they use EAC.LAME. atleast they should. some groups bullshit. but EAC.LAME basically rips it EXACTLY how it is on the cd and will error if there are skips, etc. unlike windows media player, etc. you’ll see “C4″ or “RAGEMP3″ after mp3 titles … those are the “groups”

lol, sorry Juny, but I laughed, not because I was being a jackass or because I was right or anything, because I would’ve loved a double disc to, but your response just cracked me up. I refuse to listen to this myself, but to cover a few things up, some of the songs just have different names. “That’s Just What Niggas Do” = Fried Chicken, not because Busta happens to be on the track, because Busta flat out says “Because that’s just what niggas do..” at the end of the song. The titles given to all the tracks previous to this were people who heard parts, etc, from the studio. “This Is Not America” = “America”. I’d state more, but I’m going to hold back on listening to this album! Huge Nas fan, so I’m gonna cop this, especially because we all know Nas worked his ass off on this. More than any other album, I’d say. From everything before this, you know he was putting his heart on this.
You’re the man for this one Shake. I think we officially broke the record for the most comments on one post, and it’s so fitting that it’s Nas related. I had hoped that some joints from the Nigger Mixtape would surface on the actual CD like many people expected (especially the Khalil track), but alas.. who am I to complain. Now I’ma buzz off this for a while and the next time I reach this level of excitement will be when Common drops lol.
