Remember when Nas has Quan on his single? I swore that dude was gonna blow up after that record. It’s a shame things didn’t work out the way I (and many others) thought it would. Quan has still put out some stellar work over the years and maybe he’ll get that well deserved break one day.
One more post before I get my beer pong on. Gotta take a few kids to school right quick. Goodie Mob member, Khujo Goodie goes for solo on this new video.
Through out the day Mickey has been shooting Incredible freestyles to the inbox. I figured since we had an over abundance of posting already I’d hold off til the evening to drop them all in one. Not saying these don’t deserve their own post but fuck it. Good looks to XV on the shout out. 2dopeboyz are incredible!
Pretty heavy line up for this joint. Swizz Beatz is also on the remix but he doesn’t deserve a title spot haha. Hi hater (Shake). Shouts to Splash for the hook up.
Pusha T and Malice sit down with Hip-Hop Official to discuss talk about their upcoming projects including the Re-Up Gang album and their third album Till The Casket Drops, coming this fall. Hopefully that album will shape up to be better than the one that drops next week.
BoBo just released some footage of David Banner venting about the music industry. I’ll let Banner do the talking. Just check it out for yourself. Also, for all the doughy dopeboyz and dopegirlz out there, Banner has some advice for weight loss (after the jump)…
I first heard of Megan Rochell off of Ghostface’s last album, now Steve-O shot over her latest single. I actually digs the fuck out of this beat. On a semi-related note, how do most R&B acts sometimes end up with the best beats that shoulda been rapped over first? Makes no sense.
The internet can be every rappers best friend, if used right. Freeway is definitely using it to his advantage. Dropping tracks daily to get a buzz going before his upcoming album Freedom of Speech drops. Here goes yet another dope cut, courtesy of Young Sav…
Geez, there has been a mass amount of posting today huh? Ya’ll keeping up or do you need us to sloooow down haha. Evidence just dropped this new promo video (that I spotted at URB) speaking about his upcoming solo album, Cats & Dogs. (dropping this Fall). Definitely an album I wanna hear. The Weatherman LP was one of my favorites of that year and still gets regular spins.
Been doing a few of these Artwork x Tracklist post lately so we might as well add Termanology and his upcoming album, Politics As Usual (September 30th), to the mix. The artwork looks far too mixtape’ish for an LP cover. But whatever, as long as the music is good, I’m good. Hit the jump for the full artwork and tracklist (with production credits). Some decent guest spots (Prodigy, Bun B, Sheek Louch, Freeway, etc). The production list is where it’s at though. Hi-Tek, Premo, Buckwild, Easy Mo Bee, Nottz, Pete Rock, Large Professor, etc. Damn…
Rich Boy comes out of hiding since his (surprisingly) dope mixtape and joins Lil Wayne for the remix of Tyga’s single. Say what you want, but the original joint is infectious. And now it’s the remix babaaay. Shouts to OS for this, who have lived up to their name today.
Apparently these two gents got to the instrumental from Mickey before we did and went off on CDR. Be on the look out for CDR: Podcast edition, coming soon. I’m still waiting on my invite to the show *blatant hint hint*
