50 Cent – Sincerely Yours (Mixtape)

When we first started this site I never thought there would be so many Boo Boo posts so close together. I thought Curtis’ time came and gone. Here is his most recent mixtape (with DJ Whoo Kidd of course). 50 spoke on this during his time on Hot97 yesterday. It’s a bunch of classics soul/r&b beats with Curtis on top of them. Quite enjoyable so far. Miss Info has more … info. You guys ready for another day full of posting?

  1. If this is shake how’d you make so many connections within the industry? I’d like to get into reporting on music when i’m older but it seems like you already know a lot of people and I really have no idea where to start…

  2. if this is shake? lol. who else would it be? just grind, that’s all i can say. there’s no blueprint to do what i do or anyone else. i’m still far away from anything huge imo. but yea. keep at it and keep moving forward.

  3. Get a Job at HHDX. lol.

Anybody can report on music, the hard part is getting people to listen to you.

    *cough*drop-bomb.com*cough*

Damn, my aids is actin up today.

  4. yea i’d like to see you get a job there. since it seems so easy like you say. smh. and for the record i got my job at dx based OFF my connects i had.

  5. I never said it was easy.

    That’s why I was laughing.

  6. Don’t be so defensive. lol. I like you guys, not here to attack, just bite some of your links ;)

On a serious note though to the dude above (and shake if he wants), Now’s not a great time to be a musician or in the music industry period.

They’re heading more and more towards a collapse of their structure and all the guys in charge are only in it for the short term stock money. (short term = ~2-3 years) They worry about meeting their stock #’s every Quarter and they’re stuck on the old system of record sales. The old way of doing things period is dead. Commercials have Tivo, Albums have zshare, and radio advertising is fucked up from podcasting. This gets into a whole new lecture though and I have to get back to work (not at hhdx). lol.

  7. ha. i meant to say “him” or whatever. i wanted it to be a general statement. dah well, you get it.

  8. It’s all good. But I’m a little mad you didn’t include the Emerald City movie links in with the Young Buck post :’( It’s not like it was irrelevant. D Black is in it.

It got accepted into cannes and some other bs festivals and one in australia too but CANNES! lol.

and for the record, sites like hhdx are prolly the only way to safely involved in the music biz. Because (they run on advertising and pop-up blockers don’t even fuckin work) sites will continue growing as more and more people in charge start using the internet instead of being scared of it, and people will always go where the content is.

back to work now. I swear. for a little bit. Who works on a friday anyway.

  9. who has a day off? oh that’s right, wayy too many people. not shake haha. and emerald city movie links? im so confused.

  10. I sent you that info on the buck tape response post about it being produced by the seattle connect, featuring a rapper on the hook. The rapper is D Black, D Black has a role in the upcoming short film “Emerald City” produced by Crooked Lake Productions.
