Natti (Cunninlynguists) – Ruled the World (VLV Remix) (prod. KNO)

I’ll start this post off with … this is dope! My man KNO (of Cunninlynguists) reworked Cold Play’s hit single as Natti tells a cautionary tale about the decline of the one-trick-pony rapper. Shouts to Tunji for the linkage.

¢heap$kate$ – Dirt Cheap

Being the Left Coast members of the Cartel, it’s only natural that Shake and I show support to local acts. Running with the same circle as El Prez, ¢heap$kate$ have been doing their thing for a hot minute. Here is their recent street release, Dirt Cheap. Tracklist & link under the cut.

Torae in Stuggart, Germany (Video)

I lost contact with Torae for quite sometime. Shit I didn’t even realize he was across seas until he told me when he got back ha. It’s good to see him still grinding though. Check above as he performs a Pete Rock produced cut that will be dropping after his upcoming Double Barrel project with Marco Polo. Also, Tor was nominated for Best Lyricist in the 2008 Underground Music Awards. HipHopDX was nominated as well. Voting starts tomorrow (July1st) and ends July31st. So be sure to g-g-get to it!

KiD CuDi – Is There Any Love f. Wale (prod. Emile)

Here’s some brand new fresh shit from the KiD CuDi featuring everyone’s favorite up and comer, Wale. Emile puts together a dope canvas for both emcees to rhyme on for the upcoming A Kid Named CuDi mixtape (presented by 10.Deep dropping July17th). Although I got the track elsewhere, I wanted to shout out h.e.r. for the heads up. Just because haha.

Bump J – Pusha Man (rmx) f. Kanye West, Rhymefest & Keyshia Cole x Gangsta (Sho Nuff)

This is becoming quite ridiculous. Everyday there is atleast 2 unreleased tracks from a select few Chicago artists. I’m waiting for a blog to start and whoever starts leaking unreleased Hova shit haha. Come on Mister Cee, start it up!! Anyways, Boogz & Andrew both dropped an unreleased track from Bump J. As if you actually thought someone else dropped it haha. Pretty sure both of these were meant for a shelved project entitled Nothing to Lose. UPDATE: I’m getting emails that this is old (which I figured since “unreleased” means that to me). But I guess it was also released elsewhere. So take it as a rarity or something. I don’t care really.

Scheme (Molemen) – Infinite x Never Say

Since we started 2DB back in November of 2007 (yea, it hasn’t been long) I’ve gotten hit up from artists and I always thought it was dope that they checked out the site. I’ve been a fan of the Molemen for a long time now. Killing Fields was that shit! With that said, here are two new joints from Scheme‘s upcoming promo album (which will be available for free99) who hit me up after I showed love on the recent (2)Dope Snowgoons Post. See ya’ll next post!

Clipse – Fast Life (Video Shoot)

Looks like the Clipse are going to film a video for their latest single, Fast Life. Has the song grown on the dopeboyz and dopegirlz out there that weren’t feeling it originally or what? Hit the jump for more pictures, courtesy of Electric Army (who also has some behind the scenes video)…

Method Man on Nutz in the Morning (Video)

[youtube=http://youtube.com/watch?v=yXws4FGG4Qg]

Method Man, one of Shake’s favorite artists, calls into Power98.3 with the Nutz in the Morning to talk about hip hop, his music, Redman (give us Blackout 2 already!!), the Ice-T x Soulja Boy fuckery and more.

The Real – Behind the Music: Hitting ROC Bottom (Video)

From Jeff:

“With Jay-Z on top of the world, or wherever Glastonbury is, it’s pretty easy to forget that he just ran Def Jam into the ground. (So says our source, LL Cool J).”

Damn.

Fabolous Backstage At Funkmaster Flex’s Car Show (Video)

Fab, Maino, and Paul Cain catch up at car show. All they’re missing is Joe Budden for a full reunion. On a semi-related note, remember when DJ Clue? used to have the mixtape game on chin check status thanks to exclusive freestyles from these guys? Shouts to Steve for this one.
