Continuing on with the sporadic posts throughout the day, here are some videos that either just dropped or I hadn’t gotten around to posting. You know the drill… above we got Skillz most recent Rap City freestyle (dude goes in!) while after the jump theres videos from Ace Gutta, Sav Kills, Ransom, Hot Dollar and more. Some NBA highlights. We even get real R&B on ya’ll with some new Rihanna, Alicia Keys and R. Kelly videos…
The homie Donny Goines shot an email my way earlier today containing this new freestyle restyle which will be featured on BB Presents Blog Business v.4. Plus, DJ Semtex reached out to Goines for his thoughts on the Sean Bell verdict.
It seems LL is trying to make a comeback (don’t call it a comeback Shake!). Fine fine … umm LL has a new record featuring KRS-One, Mr. Meth, Jenny Jones & Lil Kim. The 5 boroughs are back? Not with that line up James. Drop Jenny and Kimmy… for? Who would you add for Harlem and Brooklyn? Edit: It took awhile, but the Dirty version has been added.
I’m about 30 minutes away from heading out to Osaka for some good eating the off to Mystere (shh, Lexx doesn’t know yet). I drop by my main j-o-b one last time and see a disheartening newspiece from my man William. The title… Jean Grae Retires? According to the report, Jean seems to leave a “I’m out” type blog on her MySpace with lines like “I will always love what I consider to be tru hip hop music… from the bottom of my soul. I hope you will continue to distinguish those who are contributors to the evolution of hip hop and other black music as both an auditory stimulation and a culture, taking care that they are put in a position to do so.” Now nothing is concrete, but it’s hard to ignore the Jean Grae Saying Peace Out name and the only picture on her profile (shown above). Check it out for yourself though…
Today is a good day folks. Fresh off the GITD Tour (update coming soon), finishing up the Jay-Z/Crooked I tape and part 1 of my video interview with Crooked. So while that’s going on you get to enjoy this remix to the Kidz in the Hall single featuring Bun B, Pusha T and The Cool Kids. The In Crowd!
I originally got this track a few days ago, but didn’t have any explanation. I listened to it and passed it as some random blend, etc. Last night I got an email from IT’s label with the song attached and more info. The explicit version will be featured as a bonus track on Tech’s upcoming third LP, The 3rd World, set to drop in June. Unfortunately they sent out a clean, unmastered version. Don’t ask me why. They are also in the process of shooting a short video. I included the fan-favorite original as well.
Cons-to-the-quence (who did his thing at GITD… more on that later), Nelly and Murphy Lee get down on Rap City for like nine minutes. Cons first verse came from The Music Industry (rmx).
Shake likes good r&b. Shake also likes Las Vegas’ians. So Ne-Yo gets love around these parts. Stargate on the production side of things. This will is the first single from Ne-Yo’s upcoming Junior album, Year of the Gentleman, which is dropping June 24th.
