You know how Shake does it with Blu. Here’s the official video! I dropped some behind the scene footage in late february and have been hyped ever since. Such a great song, the video does it justice as well. Enjoy.
I’ve got some projects to wrap up so I figured I’d hit ya’ll with another edition of What’s in the Tapedeck before I become a ghost on these here internets. On deck we have some new Young Chris, Custom Made, some funky fresh joints from Plantlife, a hidden AZ track off Undeniable, another Crooked I guest spot, a Day 26 remix with the Fat Elephant and Rawsss, some unreleased Dogg Pound featuring Busta Rhymes, Tyga featuring Lil Wayne, new Mack 10 featuring G Malone & Red Cafe, a dope Joe Budden remix and much much more. You know how us dopeboyz roll.
Looopee Fiasco and Nerd Chris have a little fun and spit a few bars after a recent show. For the record that’s one of my favorite Dilla beats of all time blasting in the background.
While Shake was in Atlanta, I stopped by the New Era store and copped a fantastic Braves hat. How great it is! We went down there so the homie J. Burnett could sit down with the Clipse and the Re-Up Gang for HipHopDX. Due to baby mama drama (I’m making that up) and whatnot, J couldn’t get there in time and Vex had to fill the spot and he did a damn good job. With the help of J-23; they spoke on We Got It 4 Cheap v.3, the upcoming Re-Up Gang album, the label situation, Lil Wayne and much more.
“We’re not havin’ no Tupac legacy, God damn it! You’d better just keep rewinding. [Laughing] We’re dead when we die.” – Pusha T – on not being one of those artists who record 50+ songs for a project before narrowing it down. Check the full interview over at HipHopDX.
I’ll apologize early for any lack of updates for the rest of the day. I gotta head out right now to handle some errands then it’s back “office” to knock out a few more projects. We’ll see how it goes. Until then, enjoy the latest released video from Ye’s listening session of Graduation.
My man Muja Messiah just dropped a video for his version of MIA’s Paper Planes. Check it as Muja and Manifest move around the Twin Cities. Directed by AymeMattson. And if you haven’t already, check out Muja’s latest mixtape, MPLS Massacre. What up Jon Jon?!
Man I’m STILL trying to get back on my normal grind. ATL really shitted on my routine. Anyways… some of you might remember Quincey Tones from the Nasir Jones & Quincey Tones – God’s Gangster project I dropped in January. Here, Quincey lends his production to remix Jay’s latest single. I fucks with it. You can also catch some more Tones’ production on the new EMC album (Traffic, Winds of Change, U Let Me Grow).
What happens when you combine the highly stylish photos of Hal Sample with the video and music of P.P.T. – You get this Kool music video. Spotted via FWMJ. Man, this is just brilliant.
