A little Chi-town flavor as Wyclef grabs Lupe for the remix to Fast Car. Shouts to Splash for the drop (even though he’s never reached out haha). Off to Subway…

It must be live performance day here at 2DB right? Now we’ve got footage of Q-Tip and Consequence performing The Consequences at SOB. Ya’ll remember this cut? Dilla on the beat, came out on a white label about a decade ago? Yep yep.
Some more dope footage of Paid Dues 2008. From the same folks who brought the Supernat freestyle below, now have some LB shittage. Not the best audio quality but Te taking over as camera man more than makes up for it. They say a lot more is coming (video wise) so instead of making new posts I’ll just be putting them after the jump. So be on the lookout for those. And if you were sleeping, I dropped HipHopDX’s Paid Dues mixtape on ya’ll last week. Check it.
Some great footage of Supernat doing what he does at this years Paid Dues festival in my old high school stomping grounds of San Bernardino. So Cal! Shouts to AlwaysHustle for the footage (as you can cleary see where I got it from).
Some dope behind-the-scenes type footage of The Roots’ jam session in NY. They give a nice taste of a new joint, I Will Not Apologize. Rising Down and Atmos’ upcoming LP are my two most anticipated albums of the year. April is gonna be a goooood month. Thanks hip hop. Shouts to OKP, Femi I see you!

Continuing on his quest to bang out 12 mixtapes in 12 months. And no… not the Lil Wayne style where there are 8908125 mixtapes with the same music on each one. Each month my man Sha is pulling themes and running with them. This month he went the political/racial route. I dropped a joint a week or so back with Skyzoo (Black President). The previous three have been bangers and this is no different. Shout out to DJ Victorious as well, the man behind the music per se. I was bogged down with projects so I couldn’t hop on the artwork for this month but I’ll be damned if I don’t knock out each cover from now til the end. Do yourself a favor and stop sleepin on Sha if you are.
Tracklist + Download link after the jump…
Unofficial video for the debut single from the UK’s Lidget Green Project featuring Guilty Simpson. No lies here, I straight grand theft blogged PMD for this. These Bradford boys know whats up, be on the lookout for the second single with Craig G.

There are a few ways to get me to post something on here. 1… it’s dope and I wanna share with the 2db fam. 2… it has my name associated to it haha. My man Donny Goines approached me a little over a month ago with an interesting idea. He wanted to run a contest for the producers who frequent HipHopDX and give them a chance to produce tracks that he would use on a DX-clusive EP. We ran the contest the first week of March and Donny selected 8 tracks to get on. Less than 2 weeks after the contest deadline, the final product is here. So swing on over to DX and download The Non Fiction EP by the homie Donny Goines, with production by the likes of Quincey Tones, Metro Beats, Remot (who won DX’s American Gangster Remix Contest) and more. Artwork by Shake for FallDownDesigns [/plug].

Charlie Murphy, Vivica A. Fox, Paul Mooney, Ice-T & Katt Williams speak on the “racist” film I posted a little while back that had Pauly Shore blasting black comedians. Be sure to cop Natural Born Komics (DVD available now). Haha.
My man Court Dunn hit me with some cool footage of Rhymefest’s guest appearance at the Royce Da 5’9″ show at the Knitting Factory last month that was put on by my dudes at Same Plate/Hidden City Entertainment. Shout out to Royce (I know you check this shit haha), Torae, J the S, Don Cerino, J Master, etc. Wish I could’ve done more to support and been there to experience good hip hop. Next time! And while we’re talking about such artists… be sure to check out Don Cerino’s latest mixtape presented by HipHopDX, the upcoming J the S project (When In Rome…), CP’s first official release and last but not least (well maybe haha) cop Torae’s debut album, Daily Conversation. That shit is hot fiyah © Dylan.
