I figured since last volume was Juice this volume should be Supernat (aka Meka’s pops). It’s only fair haha. Some (see a lot of fuckin people) will tell you this man is hands down the best FREESTYLE emcee out there. Last year Supernat broke the record for longest freestyle. This man went on for over 9 HOURS! That alone puts him in a different league. I was actually there to witness it (I chilled and watched about 30 minutes of it … it was great stuff) [video footage]. Dude is insane off the top and the shit he does proves it. One of the exercises he does at his live appearances is to rhyme about things in the room [check the video] and another is to have the crowd pass up things from their pockets and once he grabs the item it’s put in the rhyme [check the video]. Check some more audio/video after the jump…
Personally I hope dude gets aired out for all this stupid bullshit. Regardless if it’s real or not, to make money off the pain and suffering of others is lame. And since the producer had sent 2dopeboyz a fake ass “cease and desist” order bout posting the entire DVD I feel it’s my right to put up everything that takes a jab at the credibility haha. I hope dude gets stuck up for the cash he’s flaunting on CNN (while someone videotapes it).
Millz was that dude (a few years back). Dude was a beast in the battle scene and I must admit I was really anticipating the album. Today? Not so much, but I know there are still some Millz’ fans out there so here is the brand new mixtape. This JUST hit the streets and you know Shake keeps it up to date like that!
Since this may or may not be my last post for the year (I’m debating on if I should go all out for the end of the year), I thought I’d put together a small list of some of my favorite vintage joints. I doubt this will fit on a CD, but that should give you motivation to go out and yoke an iPod from one of those rich-ass, spoiled kids.
Since our last update of our American Gangster remix coverage I’ve personally listened to over 15 of these damn things (damn this DX contest haha). These two are pretty dope though. Rob Viktum takes the Jay a cappella’s and drops them over Dilla’s Donuts instrumentals while the homie Kingpin mixes them with the late great Frank Sinatra.
On Feb. 12, 2008 the 25th Anniversary Edition of the biggest selling album of all time will be released; which includes unreleased bonus tracks as well as remixes from will.i.am, Kanye West and more. Everybody should already have the original in their CD collection. I’d be saddened if you didn’t and you don’t want Shake to be upset do you? Naaah. And since this is a Shake post…

Another week, another crazy track. And you already know who brings it to you first! This time Crooked dismantles Proof’s Forgive Me track. The last minute is on some real controversial shit, the next few weeks are gonna be nuts. Geeeez.

You know … the Kanye West, Pharrell & Lupe supergroup? The Child Rebel Soldiers? Anyways … here is a little concept video done by Va$htie. Pretty dope if you ask Shake.
Street Fam in the building tonight! Shout out to the homie DJ Swivel for this one. Fabolous/DJ Drama Gangsta Grillz Mixtape, There Is No Competition coming soon. New album being recorded as well? Yessir. Enjoy this exclusive!
