2dopeboyz’ Freestyle Friday v1 (Mad Skillz)

What up ya’ll. Introducing a new feature I’m gonna run every week. Freestyle Friday. Nope, not the lame “battles” on BET. This right here will be Shake dropping hot freestyles from various artists. Some you might of heard, some not … but rest assured they’ll be dope.

This week, I’m gonna drop one of my favorite freestyles from the man who only drops 1 track a year. None other than Virginia’s Skillz. And why not drop all the recaps for ya’ll too [ 2002 | 2003 | 2004 | 2005 | 2006 ]. Just curious, which one is ya’ll fav?

Method Man – Method Man Live (Video)

[youtube=http://youtube.com/watch?v=tzGJIY4L0Ag]

Some footage off Method Man’s Live From the Sunset Strip DVD. Method Man is easily one of the top 3 performers I’ve ever seen. From crowd surfing to down right WALKING on top of the crowd, the man goes ape shit. I feel this venue “confined” him a bit but he still put on a damn good show.

KRS-One & Joell Ortiz Freestyle (Video)

That’s right … just raw lyricism. This is hip hop. Shouts to DallasPenn!

Busta Rhymes – Step Up (prod. J Dilla)

As previously said, this is off the upcoming project between Mick Boogie & Busta Rhymes. J Dilla on the beat of course. Man how I’m gonna miss these man’s beats.

HipHopDX’s 3rd Annual Turkey Awards!

Every Thanksgiving the good ol staff at HipHopDX put together their Annual Turkey Awards. This being the third year, they kept the comedy relief and truth rolling… Fat Joe wins the award for “Worst Album Title For A Fat Guy” while Dog the Bounty Hunter wins the “I Wasn’t A Racist Until YouTube Caught Me” (aka the Michael Richards Award). T.I. wins three this year! Be sure to check out HipHopDX for the full Awards. Enjoy the holiday, eat some turkey/ham/whatever and get drunk. Next post!

Busta Rhymes + J. Dilla = Dilla-Gence

There’s not much to this post, as it’s more like a forewarning of some dope music. Dilla had given Busta a bunch of instrumentals before he had passed and Busta has now rhymed over them all. Presented by the ever talented Mick Boogie. Be on the lookout for some exclusive shit at HipHopDX. I’ll keep you posted.

Meka’s Soul Mix Show: The Original 23

You think Kanye was the only one? Think again.

DJ Drama – No More f. Lloyd, Willie Da Kid & T.I.

Another new track off DJ Drama’s upcoming Gangsta Grillz album (December 4th). It’d be fitting if the self-proclaimed “Mr. Thanksgiving” leaked sometime between today and tomorrow.

Beanie Sigel – The Solution (Tracklist + Cover)

My dude William hit up Bean’s album release party (bastard) and from his talks of the album … it’s a banger! Chalk another W for the Roc Boys. Anyways you can check his brief run-down here. Tracklist is below the jump…

RZA on His Production History (Video)
